About us

The Sodus Microd Club is one of the largest microd clubs in new York State, with more then twenty families providing a fun, safe racing environment for children between the ages of five and eighteen. The club is a member of the New York State Microd Association (NYSMA) and works closely with this organization to help promote good sportsmanship and provide a safe racing environment for the children who participate in the ever-growing sport.

The Sodus Microd Club is a not-for-profit organization which relies solely on support received through donations, local business advertising, club fundraising and the support of the generous members and their families.

1n 1959 the club was established as the Williamson Microd Club and races were held at the Williamson Fireman's Field. The club moved the location in 1981 to Spencer Speedway which is also located in Williamson. Then in 1989, the club purchased land in Wallington and established their own facility. Thus, the name was changed to the Sodus Microd Club. Our track is still located on the same property which many members have come to think of as "home".

WHY MICROD RACING

Microd racing is an exciting experience and a great way for boys and girls to learn valuable skills. Sodus Microd Club of Sodus is dedicated to helping youth develop physical and mental skills that work well on and off the track.

Racing at Sodus Microd Club provides instruction and guidance, as well as instill a sense of respect for your fellow team members.

Our Mission

We are a club that promotes positive growth of young racers by helping youth build a sense of teamwork, cooperation, and community. With education, competition, and practice, boys and girls can become independent racers that have a strong understanding of racing rules. For Sodus Microd Club and our players, it isn't about winning but learning how to set goals, be proactive, and working hard.

Whatever level interest or aspiration a racer has, Sodus Microd Club has a place for them. All are welcome from beginners entering local racing competition to those that progress to regional competitions.
